Provides day-to-day support of the Subro2000 and iAutomate subrogation systems, short and long-range planning, complex data analysis, completion of Small System Change Requests (SSCRs), system consolidation activities, software releases and client outreach. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Authors business requirements as related to software changes and critical WellPoint projects, such as system migrations, healthcare exchanges and ICD-10. Develops system test cases and scripts, completes testing and documents defects and results.  Runs, modifies and builds queries and macros to streamline processes and for data analysis.  Participates in various project teams or work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document new or revised functions.  Identifies complex problems or issues related to workflow processes, researches solutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of operational efficiency.  Researches system issues and documents findings.  Creates and develops new policies/procedures.  Can commit department to deliverables on own initiative and can use discretion in making independent decisions. Trains and reviews the work of lower level Analysts and may provide direction to work assignments of staff.

Responsible for preparing client and management reports.  Provides business and customer service related support to business partners and clients.  Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures. Develops and analyzes business and performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) including ad-hoc reports and provides recommendations, notations of performance deviations and anomalies. Creates and maintains databases to track business performance. 

Job Requirements

Highly desired a BS/BA in business; 3-5 years’ experience in a finance/health insurance field capacity; prior experience with relational databases, mainframe and client server report writers, familiarity with SDLC; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Prior experience with IBM Rational Tools helpful.
