Job Description Solar City is currently hiring for an Inside Sales Representative in our Las Vegas, NV territory. We will be hosting a Hiring Event on Wednesday May 22nd &Thursday May 23rd 2013.

 Upon successful completion of a phone interview, you may be invited to meet with the hiring managers at this event.  Hiring managers will be prepared to extend offers at the event to those candidates that meet their requirements.

SolarCity’s Inside Sales Representatives strive to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with home-owners. They actively identify and pursue leads, address customer’s questions, concerns and meet sales quotas of solar systems and energy efficiency services. We take a consultative approach to educating customers on the growing solar/clean energy industry. Solar City’s Inside Sales Representatives will spend much of their time calling and setting up phone consultations with prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Sales of residential solar electric systems and energy efficiency services
  • Closing deals and signing contracts via phone and online conference calls
  • Prospecting for and qualifying leads
  • Utilizing online tools and conducting preliminary site evaluations to develop an initial system design. The design is primarily used to provide the customer with a visual example of how a solar system will look in his/her home
  • Generating project proposals/quotes for customers
  • Must have a clear understanding of contract agreements and be able to explain and review agreements with customers
  • Communicating with project and design team throughout job completion
  • Job Requirements
    • Between 1 and 4 years full sales cycle experience with a proven track record of success
    • Experience with solar installation, design, and sales a plus (though not required because we offer training)
    • Experience building a book of referral business
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic Excel a must
    • CRM experience, especially Salesforce.com a plus
    • Understanding of general construction a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
    • Flexible work schedules required including one weekend a month
    • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
