Recruiting Specialist

KCC Companies, an employee owned heating and cooling manufacturer and metal fabricator located in Jeffersontown, Kentucky is advertising an opening for the following position: Recruiting Specialist.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To support Senior Human Resource personnel in carrying out the responsibilities of the Human Resource Department with specific emphasis on recruitment and retention priorities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Communicate with the various Department Managers/Supervisors to identify position vacancies or additions in the department.

● Maintain and update position descriptions for all positions within the organization.

● Assist with the internal job postings in accordance with the Job Posting Policy.

● Advertise job openings on the internet, social media, local publications and other medium.

● Accommodate walk-in and call-in employment inquiries.

● Pre-screen candidates in order to determine the most qualified candidates for each position

● Coordinate and carry out facility tours describing in detail everything from organizational framework to specific job responsibilities

● Educate candidates on the job requirements of each particular position

● Educate candidates on the benefit package of the organization, the ESOP, the value of the ESOP, growth potential and the overall company culture.

● Facilitate interviews by Department managers.

● Otherwise provide assistance in the hiring process.

● Assist with pre-employment testing and background checks.

● Assist with on-boarding practices to insure smooth transition into KCC employment.

● Track and collect data on retention of new hires for continuous improvement purposes.

● Perform such other recruiting, hiring and retention tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice-by Senior Human Resource Personnel.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

● Associate degree in business, or a Bachelor degree in business with emphasis in human resources or marketing, is preferred from a credible college or university

● Must be highly skilled in the use of the internet and social media.

● Must be skilled in use of MS Word and must be a very good writer in order to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department.

● Must have very good verbal skills.

● Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

● One to two years experience in the recruiting field is preferred.
