Job Description Husch Blackwell LLP is a full-service litigation and business law firm with multiple locations across the United States, serving clients with domestic and international operations.  We have an immediate opening in our Kansas City office for a Legal Recruiting Assistant. 

The Legal Recruiting Assistant supports the Director of Legal Recruiting and the Paralegal Administrators, and the Chief Growth Officer as needed. This position provides administrative support by performing a wide variety of complex and clerical functions relating to Legal Recruiting and Paralegal Administration. Essential job functions include:

 

Maintain multiple lists of attorney information for all of the firm’s lawyers (including name and hire dates, bar licenses, and SBU & PSC assignments. Track and update attorney hire and departure spreadsheets. Review on an annual basis for partner promotions and changes in billable rates. Update all corresponding software with hire/departure information. Prepare New Hire folders for orientation. Prepare firm wide Welcome Emails for new attorney hires. Assist with Summer and Fall Associate orientation programs. Assemble binders and materials for Department meetings, Hiring Committee meetings, etc. Track all lateral candidates and provide periodic reporting on lateral hires. Assist with lateral searches as needed. Enter lateral resume submission into Lawcruit and update database regularly.  Prepare candidate offer letters. Maintain spreadsheet of bar exams for incoming fall associate and handle registration/direct-bill payment for bar review courses. Assist with the coordination, submission and tracking of department surveys. Track all department expenditures and assist with year-end budget reporting. Participate and prepare minutes at Department Meetings. Prepare check requests and personal reimbursements. Track and monitor recruiter fee agreements. Assist the Director of Legal Recruiting in periodic department analysis. Coordinate department meetings, open mail, make travel arrangements and return phone calls for the Director and Paralegal Administrators and provide other administrative support to the department. Regularly update department calendars. Make travel arrangements for candidates. Assist in coordinating firm wide CLE programs. Drafts e-mails and other documents independently and on behalf of the Director. Provide support to the Chief Growth Officer and Director of Legal Recruiting on recruiting special projects. Other special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements·         High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.

·          3-5 years’ relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment.
