We currently are seeking a talented Java Application Developer to work in one of the following Optum offices: Eden Prairie, MN or Franklin, TN or Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can learn things quickly who is enthusiastic, active, and eager to contribute and learn. The core duties are outlined below: Design, code, unit test, document, and maintain high-quality and scalable Java components. Analyze and define customer requirements. Assist in defining product technical architecture. Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning. Participate in peer reviews for designs, code, and other work products. Collaborate with management, quality assurance, architecture, and other development teams. Write technical documentation and participate in production support. Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training.

Job RequirementsMinimum of 7 years of development experience with Java Also: XML, Web Services, MQ, WSDL, JSF 5 or more years of Spring experience 5 or more years of previous relational database experience (Oracle) Thorough understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA) co Understanding of the SOLID object-oriented principles iLog or other business rule engine experience Previous experience and successful track-record of learning new tools and technologies and leveraging these on integration and implementation projects Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. Assets: Healthcare industry experience Previous experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology/best practices Formal training and/or certification in any of the above-mentioned tools and technologies What can YOU do with the right information?
