Job Description Generac Power Systems – Join the leader in the power industry! The appropriate candidate in this position will manage the delivery programs for internal and external customers. Delivering the products that are defined by our 3 year product plan is the primary focus for this position. To insure success in this the role the candidate would need to possess solid project planning and management skills as well as the technical skills required. Positions may be based in Waukesha, Whitewater or Jefferson, WI Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitates the creation of Scope of Work for all projects with input from all stakeholders. Establishes and maintains the project timeline. Acts as the project manager leading a team cross functional team of engineers, operations, sales, advanced procurement, etc. to develop new products from concept to production. Manages project scope, schedule, and cost and drives the best compromise to meet product and project objectives Delivers on time and on target all project stages. Enforces New Product Introduction methodology and reports status as requested at all organizational levels. Participates in and holds design reviews and resource planning activities. Works closely with the advanced procurement groups to identify and deliver product at or below cost targets. Participates in the budgeting process Works closely with the operations group to support flawless release to production. Participates and influences the 3 year product development plan for products within Generac
Job Requirements Qualifications: BSME and 5-15 years of experience in the field of industrial manufacturing or similar industry 3+ years of experience in an engineering management or technical lead role Knowledgeable of concept work, design, development, test, validation, certification and production release. Technical understanding of material selection, component design practices and DFMEA for electrical and mechanical components of alternators/generators.  Clear expertise proven in using planning tools with emphasis on resource planning. Excellent technical background in design or development. Very good communication skills at all levels of the organization. Ability to function in a very dynamic organization, understand and manage change process. Significant mentoring skills required. Good understanding of manufacturing processes of engine components. Experience with component sourcing and supplier development Quality focus and experience with quality systems. Excellent ability to manage product cost.
