Job Description Director of Communication and Marketing for Connecticut Community Providers Association (CCPA)

The Director of Communication and Marketing is responsible for various duties, including developing public relations strategies, relationships with multiple media outlets and contacts, writing press releases, opeds and other materials for public consumption.  This individual will also be responsible for various member services, including the education and training programs, annual meeting, and general outreach to the provider community.  He/she will report directly to the President/CEO.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working in the association industry, or related field
  • Team-oriented, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong writing, public speaking and marketing skills
  • Organizational ability/creativity/ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Computer expertise:  Word, Excel, Access, In-Design, Internet Research
  • Job Requirements

    Duties:

    1. Provides strategic direction for and ultimate implementation of the association’s public relations, including various policy campaigns, develop and maintain relationships with members of the media. 

     

    1. Formulates, markets and manages the CCPA Education and Training program, including all seminars, conferences and annual meeting.

     

    1. Maintains member relations and develops plans for member retention and marketing.

    1. Prepares and analyzes project specific budgets, makes recommendations for the program budgets and meets goals in related areas.

     

    1. Coordinates all communication relating to general CCPA membership including publications and website content.

     

    1. Oversees general membership events. 

     

    1. Researches and implements non-dues revenue programs, procures sponsorship from corporate vendors and manages affinity programs to meet the association’s financial goals and enhance the value of membership.

     

    1. Creates special studies and surveys, carries out projects and prepares reports as requested.

     

    1. Travels as necessary/some in-state travel and occasional attendance at evening events.

     

    10.  Other duties as required.
