Job Description

Public Information Coordinator - Marshalltown

Full-time position responsible for the development and refinement of public information and education activities of the agency. Develops products for use externally and in-house. Creates a wide range of products targeted to multiple audiences. Responsibilities also include developing activity guidelines for agency staff, performing agency activity oversight, undertaking public information activities and providing technical support to all associated with the public information activity area.  Performs advocacy activities for agency. Responsible for extensive networking and collaboration activities.

This position is based in Marshalltown, but the public information coordinator will also work in our Ames office on a regular basis.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or related field required
  • A minimum of two years experience working in public relations, journalism, or marketing
