Job Description

The Shipper is responsible for processing, shipping, returning, loading and transferring of goods while ensuring accurate levels of inventory at all times.    This position also involves quality control and documentation of all out going palletized product. 

 

Duties

  1. Shipping
    1. Responsible for appearance and quality of packaging
    2. Ensure that all orders are shipped within specific time designations
    3. Responsible for  all aspects of shipping
    4. Palletize all inbound and outbound freight
    5. Utilizing technology for effective and efficient package delivery
    6. Obtaining rate quotes to ensure best practices
    7. Following specific custom requirements of packaged details           
  2. Warehouse
    1. Pull accurate inventory for shipping
    2. Maintain efficient product organization by following policies and procedures
    3. Assists in the counting of inventory levels at end of month
    4. Transfer of product to maintain accurate levels of inventory
    5. Ensures all transfer orders are accurate and complete
    6. Responsible for keeping a clean and operational work atmosphere
  3. Quality Control
    1. Ensure that all product and packaging to leave the warehouse is packaged appropriately to company expectations
  4. Miscellaneous
    1. Will assist with special tasks as required
    2. Maintain organization
Job Requirements

High school diploma/GED is required. 

1 year inventory maintenance required

1 year shipping experience including working with freight companies, UPS WorldShip and FEDEX Ship Manager are required.

Forklift Experience required.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more

Must be able to use a pallet jack

Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary
