Job Description
Position Description: This person is the technical lead working with the business analysts to absorb business requirements and create functional specs. This person will have a strong Sequel programming language skill set and the ability to join data elements from multiple sources into one extract output. This person will be a thought leader in developing innovative solutions to automate the state file process. This person will develop tools to expedite work for the business analysts (data dictionaries, simplified version of file layouts, macros and crosswalks, etc). This person will be responsible for cross training technical applications and programming code used to support the state file process for C&S Health Plans. This person will have experience in conversion of extracts to required submission formats, and be able to version control extracts and store the work in a logical and user friendly way. This person will develop an audit trail safety net, and cross train on the location paths, etc. This person may be asked to support some operations application building.Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Primary Responsibilities: Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment including client facing settings Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks Provide support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution Support the team for application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 by 24 by 365 basis Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards Work with business to prioritize production issue resolution Work with the Service Manager in process improvement initiatives as directed by the service. Reviews the work of others. Develops innovative approaches. Sought out as expert. Serves as a leader/ mentor.
Job Requirements
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required 3+ years experience building and delivering new reporting 3+ years building complex SQL queries Advanced level of skill with MS Excel 3+ years experience working with a business intelligence tool Experience using SSRS to create automated reports Assets: Bachelor's Degree Experience with UHC Community & State platforms Experience with provider data within the Healthcare Industry, Medicaid experience is a plus What makes your technology career greater with UnitedHealth Group?
