Job Description

Family & Children's Aid (FCA) provides high quality, innovative, behavioral and mental health care to children, adolescents and their families. We are currently looking for a full-time Receptionist to join our team of professionals working within our growing Danbury Outpatient Child Guidance Clinic.

Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week; Monday - Thursday from 11:30am to 8:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet clients upon arrival and check them in via our electronic medical records system
  • Obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
  • Collect and process any client co-payments
  • Schedule future appointments for clients as necessary
  • Manage appointment reminder calls for medical staff
  • Answer multi-line phones and direct caller to the appropriate department
  • Assist with additional clerical responsibilities such as scanning, faxing or filing as needed

  • Job Requirements
    • 1+ years of experience working in a medical facility
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and computer proficiency
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and manage front office needs with tact
    • Completion of a certificate program highly preferred
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) system highly preferred
    • Experience with high volume, multi-line phone systems preferred
    • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
    • Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking fluency a plus!
