We are currently seeking a Distribution Quoting Specialist for our Grafton, WI location.


Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and nurturing Distribution Accounts, including Grainger as a primary customer. This position will be primarily focused on growth of NEW business working with Distribution, and servicing the Grainger account. Under the guidance of the Distribution Manager, this strategic position will be focused on developing growth relationships and programs for both. Additionally, this position will involve critical interface with multiple levels within the Regal organization while supporting the growth at Grainger and additional accounts. This position will report directly to Distribution Manager at Leeson Electric. Establish and maintain excellent communication and proactive work ethic working with customers.


  • Extensively utilize personal computer skills specifically in excel, word, BI reporting, and Oracle experience.
  • Develop and syndicate Leeson business and product attributes into Distribution customers, coordinating efforts with IT, engineering, product managers, sales teams, and additional channels.
  • Requires outstanding and proven organizational abilities and multi-task project management skills
  • Excellent time management skills will be critical while interfacing at various levels in the organization. Other duties as directed by supervisor. -This position will drive new and existing account growth in Distribution and support Grainger as well as driving End User business through these channels to the market.
  • Determine target products required for Distribution accounts to support End User business.. This will be a unified effort with the sales representatives, our distributors and the plant personnel at the end users accounts that we are targeting. Determine annual purchase volume per item, competitive or target price points and who is the competition we are attempting to replace. Review results with the Distribution Manager and determine if we should proceed with the proposal.
  • Under direction of the Distributions Manager, co-create quote proposals to End User through a distributor that services the account.
  • Co-develop growth plans working with the Leeson District Sales Office in regards to where the target account is in the approval process. Determine if the proposal needs to be revised in order to secure the business.
  • Review general profitability and sales growth monthly for accounts and report into the Distribution Scorecard Metric to measure growth.
  • Analyze customer requests for quotations to determine which of our capabilities will best fulfill the requirement. Consider competitive/market price, potential volume, cost to manufacture, manufacturability, return on investment, and account payment history. Provides detailed quotes including tooling expenditures and terms and conditions to sales representatives or existing/potential customers. Review M&T Analysis to determine if tooling charges will be invoiced to the customer or absorbed by Leeson.
  • Provide product and systems technical support to sales representatives, customers, and inside sales staff relative to National Distribution accounts.
  • Job Requirements
    • In-depth knowledge of computer skills to include proficiency in oracle standards.
    • Two year college degree required, four year college degree preferred.
    • Prior Customer Service experience handling all aspects of order entry and customer relationship management. It would be desired to have past purchasing experience as well.
