Job Description

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team.  Due to new product innovations and international expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to position our products and service solutions competitively in the marketplace.  

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies for the company’s products which includes all car wash equipment and cleaning solutions.  This position will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the ROI of sales initiatives and ensuring all products are positioned effectively in the marketplace.  The PMM will keep apprised of any internal and external economies of scale that may impact how products are positioned and make recommendations to change strategies as necessary.  

The essential functions of the Product Marketing Manager under the direction of the Director of Product Marketing, include but are not limited to:

 

  • Defines potential market for the sale of various car wash equipment and cleaning solutions and identifies plan to communicate with target audiences.  
  •  

  • Coordinates company participation in different trade shows and events associated with car wash equipment sales and promotes events to target audiences.   Attends and participates in local and national trade shows and conventions related to the vehicle wash industry. 
  •  

  • Keeps abreast of challenges associated with the sale of all products and services offered by the company by communicating with all sales staff, speaking with current customers and by conducting market research of current and prospective customers.  
  •  

  • Provides sales enhancement and support to sales teams in pre and post sales activities. Ensures product training and knowledge are strong throughout the sales team. Develops new sales support tools (online vehicles, collateral materials, educational curriculum, etc.).
  •  

  • Understands the competitive landscape and devises and implements strategies to maintain and enhance our leadership position in the car wash services and products industry.
  •  

  • Manages and executes a product positioning plan. May include event marketing - creating content for customer presentations, as well as determining market requirements for current and future product lines.
  •  

  • Works with the appropriate teams to ensure everyone is working within approved product development budgets. Ensures marketing product launch timelines are met.

    Job Requirements

    Candidates applying for this position should possess:

     

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in related field.  (MBA preferred)

     

    • At least five years of B2B product management experience with a capital equipment company.  

     

    • Knowledge of individual sales processes in industrial technology environment.
    • The ability to become a subject matter expert on all product and services offerings within a short period of time.  This will require absorbing a great deal of technical and industry knowledge.  

     

    • Ability to work effectively and influence cross functional teams in defining and launching products and solutions

     

    • Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to make sound decisions.  

     

    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.  

     

    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite Programs and have strong Excel proficiency to manipulate and analyze data.  

     

    •  Must be able to travel overnight as necessary.

     

    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality as required by the department and company.
