Slot Technician - Tampa, FL area If you are looking for an opportunity with a progressive company within a growth industry, consider joining SHFL entertainment as a Slot Technician. The Slot Technician will repair, maintain, install, remove, document, and account for shufflers, chippers and electronic table games leased to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Visit casinos to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment Cultivate positive business relationships with customers and casino personnel to ensure that SHFL entertainment equipment is continually in optimal operating condition Respond to service calls in a timely manner, ensuring that customer service standards are met Prepare and test company equipment prior to installation to ensure components are fully functioning, and materials are ready for installation Relocate and or Install equipment, ensuring fully functioning equipment within an acceptable time frame Update, modify, remove, and/or relocate existing equipment, extracting or re-positioning products to meet the customers’ needs Complete paperwork and documentation as instructed to ensure accurate, timely reporting of information to management Prepare and set up equipment for gaming shows and ensure that the SHFL entertainment equipment is optimal operating condition, eliminating technical difficulties, ensuring a positive customer perception Provide on-site technical support/expertise to assist with technical questions regarding the equipment Perform various types of basic maintenance within the SHFL entertainment shop, warehouse and offices ensuring optimal operating facilities, a safe workplace, and a productive work environment for employees, customers, and guests Participate in and assist with assignments and special projects as requested, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime for the department and the company Required Job Skills: Knowledge of and skill in using various hand tools and power tools Knowledge of the company and its products Basic understanding of mechanical systems Ability to effectively communicate in person with customers Basic math skills Ability to work as a technical professional in a high-pressure environment Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to build positive interpersonal relationships and contribute as a member of the team Ability to prioritize, be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters Computer Equipment and Software: Basic working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Certification, Education and Experience: Certification: Valid gaming card, and or the ability to obtain one by the appropriate licensing agency Valid driver’s license in the state where primary duties are performed; and willing to drive a company vehicle and/or a personal vehicle Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by law Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of one year experience providing customer service in a business setting Gaming experience preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
