Job Description

CPI is a Nashville, TN based staffing and recruiting company specializing in hiring healthcare and technical professionals for some of the most respected businesses in our industry.  We were founded in 1995 and have expanded and nurtured business relationships successfully and consistently.  Our consistent service has ensured our relevance to today’s market and has been a critical element in building our expansive business network. 

 

We are actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a long term contract in Nashville, TN.  The project manager will work in a mature, PMI process driven environment and will be responsible for full project lifecycles. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning  and controlling scope for complex, ambiguous or fluid projects
  • Managing project requirements such that final solution matches not only the written specification, but also the business need
  • Ensuring specific requirements are met and approved by users, where critical, to project results and timetable
  • Ensuring appropriate formal and informal communication of project status to the project core team, supporting IT staff, actively involved business partners, and senior leadership
  • Projecting future needs and identifying risks/issues and working with resource managers to resolve
  • Applying and tailoring client's methods and PMI standards to define the appropriate Risk Management strategy (including mitigation, acceptance, avoidance or transfer) for a complex project
  • Maintaining an Issue tracking process that ensures team members can submit or review issues without going through the PM
  • Anticipating complex cross function issues and facilitating resolution, escalating issues to executives with the proper balance of urgency and calm/composure

    Job Requirements
    • 5+ yrs Project Management experience (infrastructure)
    • Knowledgeable of PMI standards- PMP certification strongly preferred
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
    • Documented experience managing enterprise level, distributed projects through entire lifecycle
    • Solid skills with MS Project and other PM tracking tools
    • Professional demeanor and exceptional presentation skills
