Family Guidance Center is a provider of community-based outpatient treatment services for adults suffering from serious mental health illness and for children with serious emotional disturbance.  You will be working with team-oriented professional staff: psychiatrists, nurses, licensed therapists and support staff. Description

Family Guidance Center for Behavioral Healthcare is searching for a Community Support Specialist to provide assistance to children with emotional disturbances or adults with mental illness.  This position is responsible for arranging/providing services to consumers that encourage and promote healthy functioning, recovery efforts, consumer independence/self care and responsibility.  The Community Support Specialist provides assistance to ease an individual’s immediate and continued adjustment to community living within a family or school system.  The Community Support Specialist serves on an interdisciplinary team and ensures that treatment goals are developed and implemented for each consumer, and clinically appropriate services are delivered.
