Job Description
Job Summary:
Day to day responsibilities will involve the direct support, administration, maintenance, and building of applications and system infrastructures.
Essential Duties:
• Documentation of environment and monitoring of system components using various monitoring tools, such as Nagios
• Serve as Level2/Level3 escalation for Help Desk in resolving internal technical support issues
• Performs complex windows systems and applications administration.
• Monitors and tunes systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
• Responsible for all off the shelf applications
• Deploy web and application code to production system
• Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
• On-call support after business hours
• Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes.
• Supports the design and configuration of complex systems.
• Plans, coordinates and directs appropriate level data refresh strategies.
• Supports complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations.
• Oversees and applies appropriate support OS packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
• Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current.
• Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.
• Interacts with client management to answer questions regarding complex system issues.
• Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Job Requirements
Knowledge & Skills:
• Windows 2003, 2008 Server required, Linux experience a plus
• Experience with Exchange Server required
• Knowledge of IIS 6 and 7 supporting an internal custom development team required
• Experience with domain registration, routing, and public DNS required
• Experience with certificate registration and setup is required
• Good understanding of TCP/IP
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Project Management experience is a plus
• 5-7+ years Windows Systems Administration experience
• Experience working with complex systems administration
• .NET, ASP knowledge and understanding of how integration works in IIS
• Solid Active Directory administration is required
• SSL Certification installation and maintenance
• Knowledge of scripting a plus
• Documentation of environment and monitoring of system components using various monitoring tools, such as Nagios
• Experience with NAS/SAN preferred.
• Experience with custom application support and development environments.
Education & Experience:
• B.S. degree in CS or similar with 3-4 years of work experience, or 5-7 years of work experience
• Management experience a plus
• 5-7+ years Windows Systems Administration experience
• Experience with change management a plus.
