Job Description Our client company, an innovative heavy metals mining and processing company, is seeking an Environmental Engineer to lead the following activities:

Lead our team in ensuring ongoing compliance with our air permit, water permit, and other environmental requirements

Work directly and cooperatively with various governmental agencies (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Natural Resources, etc.) as well as environmental consultants as the primary point of contact.

Identify, lead and direct improvement projects and studies

Ensure timely completion of various reports and studies for submittal to various agencies

Job RequirementsA qualified candidate would have at least 2 years of experience in the areas above such that he/she could come up to speed quickly and assume the above responsibilities efficiently. All of our engineers work with a team to own projects from concept to implementation. They also work with all members of the team to improve and optimize the performance of all plant areas. A B.S. degree (Engineering desired) and experience with Title V permitting and compliance within a heavy metals industry is required.

Engineers have significant internal interaction and exposure to all levels of the organization and work directly with vendors and others outside the company. Our company is a flat organization with open lines of communication and few meetings/reporting requirements.
