Job Description

Job purpose


The IT specialist will be responsible for improving information technology across the organization through new initiatives, new technology & process improvements.  The IT specialist will support divergent, modern, and legacy products and services from hardware to software across the company


Duties and responsibilities


  • Apply skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the company
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, network issues & peripherals
  • Troubleshooting & Reinstallation of OS
  • Removal of viruses/malware from pc’s & devices
  • Software upgrades and installations
  • PC Imaging and configuration
  • New tasks as need arises
  • Working conditions

    This is a position that is mainly sedentary working at a desk. May require some light lifting of pcs, printers, etc.

    Physical requirements

    Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and to work sitting down most of the day.

    Job Requirements

    This is an ideal position for an IT professional who has at least two years experience in the field. Below are some of skills the ideal candidate would possess.

    • In-depth knowledge of most Windows Operating Systems.  Technical support for Windows NT through Windows 10 OS. 
    • Experience with Windows Server 2012 ,SQL Server 2014, & Remote Desktop Services
    • SQL Server database administration
    • Writing SQL statements for data retrieval
    • Virtualization experience & knowledge of related technologies
    • PC imaging and configuration, disaster recovery preparations
    • Strong knowledge of pc hardware and software, ability to build a PC, test, & deploy as needed
    • Installation and configuration of hard drives, NIC's, printers, and other PC accessories
    • Routers, WAPs, and other networking devices administration & setup
    • IT Asset Inventory tracking & documentation
    • Research information & solutions to outstanding issues
    • Printer troubleshooting & resolution
    • Data backup production
    • A+ certification preferred
    • Microsoft certified preferred

    Software/Technical Skills :

    •              2 years + troubleshooting pc’s and related technologies

    •              Strong Microsoft Office skills; Word, Excel, & Outlook, etc

    •              Configuring & administering email accounts

    •              In depth knowledge and usage of Windows operating systems & Servers

    •              PC imaging and configuration skills

    •              TCP/IP, Routers, WAPs, Wireless, and other networking devices

    •              Firewall & VPN administration

    •              Spyware / adware removal tools as well as antivirus programs
