POSITION SUMMARY
The registered (licensed) therapist has the direct responsibility for patient care. Obligations include:
competence in administration of prescribed therapy;
instructing the patient, caregiver, home health aide, or nurse in techniques not specifically required to be conducted by the therapist;
maintaining liaison with all members of health care team;
evaluating the effectiveness of the exercises rendered the patient;
documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner; and
completing continuing education and licensure requirements.

Bachelor's Degree
Experience
2 years of experience as an occupational therapist
Certificates & Licenses
Must hold current state licensure, CPR certification, drivers license, and automobile liability insurance.
Other Requirements
Thorough knowledge of professional theory, practice, techniques, principles and equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document patient care effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with patients, other health care professionals, physicians, and the public.
