JOB PURPOSE

The Account Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall management of his/her account(s) or line of business. The Account Manager represents the Agency's management on a day-to-day basis at the Client level. The Account Manager plays a key role in developing subordinates.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Leads and supports efforts to engage with clients to identify key strategic goals and formulate innovative, actionable media plans that meet or exceed goals and drive client business

·         Builds strong relationships with clients and manage day to day relationships

·         Fosters a strong strategic relationship with key team members at all levels of the client organization

·         Provides support in day-to-day communications with the client, handling requests including plan revisions, budget changes, media POVs, marketplace updates

·         Owns all internal aspects of day-to-day account management

·         Develops client knowledge to begin architecting strategic plans and tests for the account

·         Partners with all cross-functional teams to assess performance, recommend optimizations and develop media plans to best maximize ROI

·         Stays abreast of industry trends, business opportunities and best practices

·         Provides insight and ideas for agency development to Senior Management

·         Supports third party client relationships as may be required (e.g. – creative relationships, etc.)

·         Follows all company health and safety procedures

·         Performs other related duties as required or assigned

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Account Coordinators, Account Executives

·         Can recommend hiring, terminating, corrective actions and performance reviews for account executive level employees

·         May execute performance reviews for account coordinator/account executive level employees

 

CONTACTS

·         Media Buyer – needs to communicate goals/objectives of client campaign and ensure that these are being attained, review of work being sent to client

·         Research Analysts - needs to communicate goals/objectives of client campaign and ensure that these are being attained, review of work being sent to client

·         Traffic Manager – manage costs and ensure proper creative is running

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

5-7 years related experience required

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S)

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

·         Knowledge of principles of marketing and advertising, media dynamics and concepts

·         Thorough knowledge and experience in digital marketing/digital video, including Facebook, Instagram and DBM; VOD and TVE/OTT a plus skills

·         Some experience with traditional/offline media (like National and/or Local television) is desirable

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS REQUIRED: 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive documents.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or clients

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: 

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
