Job Description

12hr AM and 12HR PM shifts are available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively communicate with the other technicians and support people in regard to quality, equipment, molds, special instructions, corrective action and productivity.

Maintains detailed information within the current reporting formats, on statistics, process and procedures.

Assists other technician personnel in the trouble shooting process for cost effective solutions.

Checks tooling, machines and auxiliary equipment to identify issues and provides work orders to appropriate support departments.

Complies with government regulations in adherence of MSDS, lock/out-Tag/Out and all other proper safety standards.

Continuously reviews set-ups and production runs to ensure efficient productivity

Recommends tooling and/or machine improvements for mold repairs, processes, yields, scrap, waste, etc.

Trains and mentors other technicians in on the job mold and process and maintenance routines

Actively participates in production floor improvements and housekeeping.

Participates on plant improvements teams.

Job Requirements

Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English
Must be able to utilize rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices to determine part dimensions and other applications.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be committed to the company’s GMP practices and procedures
Must have a working knowledge of molding theory and be familiar with various types of computer programming extrusion blow mold machines.
Must provide own proper tools for the job
High School education or equivalent. Five years hands on experience in the operations/set-up of plastics equipment is a plus
Work in a safe manner
Ability to problem solve
