Job Description We are a family-owned, century-old company and we need quality people to join our team. We have been in business since 1911 and are a full service heavy construction equipment dealer serving Kansas, western Missouri, northeast Oklahoma, and northwest Arkansas.  We are currently recruiting for a Parts Specialist for our Joplin, Missouri location.

 

Job Specifications

Reports to:  Parts Manager

Education Required:

Experience: Must have some background in Agriculture or Industrial/CE Background. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Charged with the responsibility of selling parts. This job function is responsible for assisting in the determination of parts requirements with customers, selling parts and providing order processing services in a timely manner and keeping in touch with that said customer during that process.  This position has responsibility for:

Customer parts sales

Customer parts ordering processing

Telephone selling

In-store sales and merchandising

In-warehouse receiving and stocking

Shipping and Receiving

 

Duties

Customer Parts Sales

Basic knowledge on all parts systems for all manufactures represented by dealership

Basic knowledge of all features and benefits of all parts sold

Knowledgeable about selling and on successful selling techniques

Must be able to deal with a customer’s objection in a professional manner

Must maintain a professional manner on the counter at all times                                                                                 

Must assure that all objectives have been met concerning the customer’s request

         

Customer ordering process

All orders must be pulled and ordered by 3:00 pm of same business day

Must be knowledgeable of ordering systems of the venders that the company uses

Must be able to maintain all paperwork set forth by the company of all parts personnel

Able to determine proper pricing set by VLP, branch manager and parts manager

Must be able to order customers orders in a timely manner.

 

Telephone selling

Knowledgeable in selling techniques on the phone

Must be able to maintain a professional attitude on the phone at all times

Must return all customer phone calls in a timely manner and keep customers informed at all times during the order process.       

Disciplined in phone follow up is a must

               

In-store sells and merchandise

Maintain a clean and “friendly” in-store display and merchandise area

Must be able to keep up front store area clean

Operates as a customer facilitator in finding what they need

 

 

In-ware house receiving and stocking

Must be able to check in and process all stock orders before shift ends                         

Stock shelves before shift end as possible

Maintain a clean warehouse

 

Shipping and receiving

Must receive and process all daily customer orders in a timely manner

All paperwork involving this must be process by end of shift if not given to parts manager to finish

All must be ready by 3:00 pm including stock transfers must be able to conduct daily tracking of outstanding customer orders  

Standards of Performance 

Must have a basic knowledge of all equipment sold by dealership

Must have a basic knowledge of all computer equipment used by the parts department

Must be able to use all reference manuals

Must perform all duties of the parts department in safe manner

Completes all paperwork required by parts department in a timely manner as set by job requirements  

Maintains a professional and courteous business attitude at all times

Performs as directed by Parts Manager
