Under the direction and supervision of the Trauma Medical Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the development and management of performance improvement and patient safety, the multidisciplinary peer review committees, the programs for credentialing physicians and competency of nurses caring for injured children, and the trauma budget and financial analysis of pediatric trauma services.  The Trauma Program Manager will oversee the duties and functions of the Trauma Registrar, the trauma registry, data analysis, trauma reports and injury surveillance.  The Trauma Program Manager will work with the educators of EMS, the Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care Unit and Perioperative Services to provide continuing education and competency of the staff.  The Trauma Program Manager will work with Injury Prevention Department and the community to provide injury surveillance data to develop programs in injury prevention for the community.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.  Master's degree in nursing or related healthcare field.
  • Current RN license from Idaho Board of Nursing. Minimum 5 years in an acute care setting.
  • Certified in Specialty (CEN/CPEN).  If not obtain within one year of hire.
  • Clinical experience in the area of injured patients, preferably pediatric trauma.
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, and TNCC upon hire with continuous maintenance of required certifications.
  • Certification in ENPC or NRP within 1 year of hire with continuous maintenance of required certification.
