Candidate will be responsible for assisting the patient with personal hygiene and self-care procedures as directed by the staff professional. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accurate and timely documentation of patient care, time, and mileage.
Education
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Must have completed a State established or other training program*, and a competency evaluation or state licensure program. *Classroom training and supervised practical training totaling at least 75 hours, with at least 16 hours devoted to supervised practical training.
Experience
Six months to one year related experience
Certificates & Licenses
Must be able to pass both a written and skills home health aide certification test; current driver license and automobile liability insurance, CPR certification
Other Requirements
Thorough knowledge of the techniques involved in assisting with personal care and activities of daily living. Ability to communicate effectively, ability to maintain a working relationship with patients, peers, supervisor, and the public, and the ability to follow written instructions.
