Job Summary

Actively manages and provides search marketing campaign oversight for 2 sites Commerce Marketing Paid Search initiatives. Works on a team that focuses on executing the appropriate mix of search marketing strategies/tactics to improve overall efficiency and contribution at the account and category levels.  Works with online and offline advertising teams along with the category managers to align paid search with key company initiatives.  Effectively uses the web and other tools to automate campaign management and scale the business in an efficient, cost-effective manner.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, optimizes, and grows search engine marketing campaigns.
  • Drives new ideas and processes to improve performance of SEM campaigns and business drivers, including account structure, bidding, ad copy and keyword development.
  • Accesses data and performs detailed analysis to make quantifiable decisions about verticals
  • Analyzes and reports to various levels of management on the performance of SEM campaigns
  • Identifies and tests new marketing opportunities to drive user engagement and revenue
  • Collaborates on best practices, reporting systems and tools across various departments
  • Coordinates with the Merchandising and eCommerce teams to support promotions and growth across different verticals
  • Performs as an active thought-leader on SEM landscape, staying abreast of current literature, search engine trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Promotes positive working relationships within the department, the company and the vendor community

  • Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year experience in paid search marketing 
    • Knowledge of paid search account management and optimization
    • Experience analyzing search data and identifying data-driven opportunities
    • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
    • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).

    Preferred Qualifications & Interests

    • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
    • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
    • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
    • Experience communicating technical strategies to technical and business audiences
    • Google AdWords Certified
    • Experience working with AdCenter
    • Experience working with Omniture SiteCatalyst OR Google Analytics
    • Knowledge of UI tools and AdWords Editor & AdCenter Desktop
