Job Description Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is currently accepting resumes for a Maintenance Worker II, to join our Corporate Facilities team.  The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, installation and repair work.    In this role you will be responsible for daily assigned tasks of general maintenance duties in the facilities and a wide variety of building/grounds maintenance with minimal supervision.   In addition, you will Work with outside contractors and subcontractors on a daily basis to resolve facility issues and develop, implement, and perform preventive maintenance for all facilities equipment.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect facilities for defects, analyze problems, and implement corrective measures.
  • Repair and maintain machinery, plumbing, physical structure, roofing, electrical wiring and fixtures, HVAC, material handling equipment, etc. in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and building codes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on cranes, forklifts, pallet trucks, dock doors, and other facilities equipment and machinery according to manufacturers’ specifications, drawings and accepted industry practices.
  • Perform outdoor grounds maintenance activities as assigned, including snow removal.
  • Move office equipment, desks, chairs, etc. as assigned.
  • Properly and safely operate equipment; i.e. fork trucks, man lifts, scissor lifts, tractors with snowplows, snow blowers, etc.
  • Perform recordkeeping to document maintenance schedules and work orders.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Job Requirements
    • High School or GED required; Associates degree in electrical maintenance preferred, with 2 years of work experience in building maintenance, or equivalent education and experience.
    • Electrical knowledge required (Certification not required).
    • Plumbing knowledge required (Certification not required).
    • Intermediate communication skills required to communicate with co-workers and management.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
    • Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools, and measurement devices.
    • Ability to repair and maintain machinery and equipment according to manufacturers’ specifications.
    • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
    • Ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.
    • Ability to work in normal indoor temperatures and occasionally work outdoors for some maintenance tasks.
    • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet.
