Harrisons Hope . . . A Caring Hospice is currently accepting applications for a position in our Marketing Department for a Patient Care Advocate. We are seeking a detail oriented leader to add to our already dynamic team. In this position, you will identify patient referral sources, present the Harrison’s Hope approach to end of life care, and build and maintain enduring relationships with physicians, hospitals, assisted livings, Long Term Care facilities, and many others. The ability to recognize the differences between each of these environments and tailor your approach to your audience is essential for success in this role. 

Qualified Candidate will generate appropriate patient referrals/admissions from customers and continue to grow the number of referrals/admissions over time. Meet or exceed all growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market awareness, acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area. Represent Harrison’s Hope and its services in a competent professional and responsive manner. Interact with Harrison’s Hope staff in a team fashion consistent with our service and teamwork culture. Maintain standards of high quality customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.

 

This job exists to build deep relationships that result in referrals and to ensure the community has an exceptional experience using our services. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical device sales / marketing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements in hospice services.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, assertiveness, and teamwork.
  • Job RequirementsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

    1. To build strong, productive relationships with preferred referral partners.
    2. Plan and prioritize daily personal sales activities and prospecting efforts towards achieving agreed-upon business goals.
    3. Maintain existing customers and develop new business through ethical and appropriate channels and methods, qualifying opportunities to enhance referral probabilities.
    4. Use contact resources, tools, and systems; and update relevant information held in these systems internally, for communications and updating awareness of working referrals.
    5. Attend and present at internal/external customer meetings and other company functions necessary to perform duties and business development.
    6. Maintain corporate image and reputation; and protect and develop the company’s brand through suitable public relations and marketing activities and effort.
      1. To be an effective Advocate for Hospice in the community. To be an expert in Hospice and Healthcare.
      2. Attend training, as applicable, to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills to continually enhance ability to do your job more effectively and efficiently.
        1. To create and capture value for Harrison’s Hope through thorough account documentation and record keeping.
        2. Document and prepare daily & weekly reports of marketing activities as directed.
        3. Document each marketing stop, administrative stop, or networking stop in detail within CRM or other formats, such as email, contacts, etc.
          1. To continually expand the sphere of influence with the right people in the community. 
          2. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with current and potential referral sources.  Continue to look “outside the box" at gaining access into new markets.
            1. Other activities as directed/required by the Director of Marketing and/or Marketing Plan.

     

    All candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and verbal skills.  Must be highly organized, dependable, punctual, self-motivated and be able to multi-task effectively. Qualified candidates would exhibit excellent leadership skills, have a positive attitude, be highly energetic and able to work in a fast paced environment.

     

    Patient service is top priority and this position is responsible for ensuring the experience is exceptional.
