Deployment Technician needed in Minneapolis, MN area
Must have clinical system / hospital system implementation / deployment experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
Knowledge of HL 7 Required

 

Responsibilities

The Deployment Technician will provide customers with education and consultation services throughout the duration of the implementation. Customer consultation includes remote support through a web service as well as onsite conducting technology training to ensure everything is in line for the final step of the customer onsite implementation / go live. After go-live the deployment technician verifies that clients needs have been met and the software upgrade is fully operational and staff is fully trained. Utilizes project management skills to manage multiple implementations at one time ensuring everything is being performed according to a proven project plan. The technician also must understand the difference between their responsibilities and the clients responsibilities and separate appropriately when needed.

Project Outline

  • Hold kick off call with clinic IT and staff
  • Gather current clinic configuration and workflow
  • Verify technical requirements have been met by clinic and verify using established criteria
  • Migrate test database
  • Schedule test migration with development team
  • Obtain copy of the database from clinic for development team
  • Verify conversion accuracy with clinic
  • Install, configure and verify test environment if needed
  • Provide clinic preparation conference call, develop new clinic workflow
  • Provide overview and focused remote training sessions
  • Install, configure and verify production environment
  • Migration production database
  • Schedule production migration with development team
  • Obtain copy of database from clinic
  • Deliver migration database to Customer
  • Provide support of onsite go-live
  • Enter case status and documentation for all customer interaction in Salesforce.com
  • 1 overnight trip to each clinic site for go-live training and support
  • Insure all technical components are operational and clinicians/users are trained post go-live

    Job Requirements

    Required Skills:

     

    • 3-5 years of general experience of networking, server hardware, or third party software
    • Requires excellent communication skills including the ability to write well and interact with senior level employees at customer sites in a customer service oriented manner
    • Strong customer-facing experience; meeting or exceeding project deliverables in timely manner and exceeding client expectations
    • Ability to interact with client and produce deliverables
    • Microsoft Office, Windows 7
    • Frequent travel to customer locations

     

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    • Past experience should include hospital system implementations with HL7 interfaces with common healthcare integration engines and working with blended teams of on-site and remote resources
    • Previous experience in the cardiac rhythm device management (e.g pacemakers, defibrillators or electronic medical records field
    • Previous experience implementing and training on software products
    • Experience in managed care or healthcare industry
    • Field experience in Medical device industry
    • SQL, IIS, SQL Server
    • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft Server Experience
    • Understanding HIPAA related policies and experience adhering to compliance standards during integration implementation.
