We’re looking for a dynamic individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys working with seniors as part of a dedicated team.

We are searching for an energetic Cook to join our community’s culinary team.  The right candidate will have a strong passion for food, food quality, consistency and excellence.  This person will also enjoy working as part of a team, and interacting with residents and guests.  This position is responsible for:

  • Preparing, seasoning and cooking soups, entrees, vegetables, desserts and other menu items
  • Using and following recipes and production sheets
  • Ensuring consistent and excellent food preparation and quality
  • Accurately portioning and tastefully presenting menu items
  • Participating in production and pre-service meetings
  • Time / temperature and production recordkeeping
  • Assisting with menu planning
  • Following and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

    Job Requirements
    • Minimum of three (2) to five (5) years of food preparation experience
    • Must possess a Jackson County Food Handler's Permit or be able to acquire within 30 days of employment
    • Must be available to work some mornings and evenings 
    • Formal culinary education a plus
    • Catering experience a plus
