Job Description
Purpose of Your Job Position As a Consulate Management Company Regional Director of Admissions, you are expected to provide innovative, responsible results with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results. The primary purpose of your position is to manage the admission and case management functions necessary to ensure appropriate census and financial viability in all facilities. Job Function As a Regional Director of Admissions, you will supervise the Directors of Admissions, Multi Facility Director of Admissions, and Case Managers. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. You may be asked by the supervisors or mangers to perform other duties. Duties and Responsibilities Assist Directors of Admissions to achieve facility census goals and annual budget projections. Serve as liaison between the company and the outside community. Work with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities. Ensure participation in industry trade shows and community educational activities as appropriate. Assist Director of Admissions in development of strategies to maximize admissions. Assist in hiring, training, and supervision of Director of Admissions and Admission Coordinators. Provide training in admissions, business development, managed care, and customer satisfaction to key personnel in the region. Maintains knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance company reimbursement. Responsible for the development of managed care contracts appropriate to region. Educate facilities on managed care contracts including billing requirements. Work closely with facility Business Office and Area Financial Analyst to ensure timely payment of managed care claims. Educate facility Care Managers on appropriate utilization of resources and costs. Conduct weekly admission conference calls and develops plan of action when necessary. Assist in development and implementation of facility business development plan. Assist in preparation of annual budgets including analysis and recommendations of occupancy percent, rate structures, promotional budgets, and product development.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in a Healthcare field preferred. Five (5) years experience in business development. Three (3) years management experience. Experience with provider relationships and claims processing preferred.
