Job Description The Opportunity:

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Process Engineering Technician position on swing shift. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, world-class manufacturing facility, then this position is for you!

This position is located in Pullman, WA.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, modify, and document assembly processes.
  • Write and/or conduct experiments in support of department objectives.
  • Assist management with improving the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
  • Assist management with the procurement of process equipment and machinery.
  • Train assemblers, operators, and maintenance staff as needed.
  • Provide support to engineering staff and management as needed.
  • Follow and improve manufacturing processes.


    • Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical associate degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience providing process and/or engineering support in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics
  • Working knowledge of electronics industry manufacturing processes and machinery
  • Familiarity with modern test equipment
  • Strong writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)


    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience troubleshooting process and machinery problems
  • Experience writing and/or conducting Design of Experiments
  • Experience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.
