Job Description Options Behavioral Health System provides inpatient psychiatric services to the Adult and Child/Adolescent populations.  We have 40 acute inpatients beds and 42 PRTF beds.  We are actively seeking a competent and experienced Business Office Manager.   The Business Office Manager will be responsible for Medicare/Medicaid billing, Third party billing, and collections with some supervision of staff.  The successful candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in an Acute Care hospital business office setting (Behavioral Health Care a plus) or related health care facility.  The candidate will possess excellent organizational skills.    Duties: Set up and maintain financial files for resident; billing, admission papers, state and Medicare reimbursement documents; coordinate and collect accounts receivable and past-due accounts. Review payment policies and procedures with new admissions and their responsible parties. On a daily basis: complete receipt records, post deposits, run cash receipts batch listings, research/prepare/post adjustments, attend daily flash meetings. Prepare billing for agencies, Medicare, veterans and other billing agents; third party billing, PRTF billing, prepare and submit corporate, Medicare and agency reports, ensure timely posting of ancillaries and perform timely month-end closings. Supervise and assist other business office staff. Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
Job RequirementsPrior experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing. Third party billing and collections experience. Three years experience in an Acute Care Hospital business office. Prior experience with HMS and SSI preferred but not required.
