Job Description

Provide civil engineering services and management for client projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience, in the following areas, but not limited to the design and land development of city, municipal, and public works initiatives.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clients.  These individuals include, but are not limited to city, municipal, and public works officials.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and monitor client relations.
  • Aid in the coordination of business development and marketing strategy
  • Read and interpret construction plans to assist with client management and effectively communicate to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public.
  • Instruct, train, and mentor group members and support staff.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment, and to shift priorities with very little notice if needed in order effectively manage pipeline. 
  • Provide coordination of sub-consultants and contractors
    • Job Requirements
    • A four year degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field and 5-10 years of experience is required, including extensive project management experience.
    • An active PE certification. 
    • Proven understanding and work experience within both the municipal and public work sectors.
    • Proven history of effective client management with the following, but not limited to city, municipal, and public works officials.
    • Experience with aiding in the RFP process, including the associated scopes, fees, and financials.

    Hours and Travel

    This position requires the individual work 40+ hours per week.  While overnight travel will not be a regular occurrence, local travel throughout North Dakota will be a regular aspect of this position.
