Job Description Software Developer II

CRIF Lending Solutions, a CRIF Company, supports over 650 of the most successful large and small U.S. banks, credit unions, finance companies, retailers and credit card processors. Through our loan origination software, outsourced loan processing technology, credit decisioning systems, analytics and credit data access systems, we provide financial institutions the tools they need to succeed.

The core activity of this position is to develop code, test, debug, documents and to maintain, modify and install quite complex software applications and/or integrate systems according with the IT Governance process applied and the defined project plan.

This position is typically operating under general supervision with occasional decision making that is guided by prescribed rules, procedures and/or guidelines from which incumbent has some discretion to depart. May also coordinate less experienced colleagues as required.

Key Responsibilities:

•          Analyzes quite complex requirements for project of standard scope and complexity. Analyzes system requirements and existing processes and information systems. Develops prototype where appropriate. Assists in evaluation of new platform and technologies to satisfy software requirements. Interprets requirements and prepares system design documents for projects with moderate impact to other system. Designs data integrity requirements and environmental requirements. Develops software specifications and documentation, for quite complex software, systems, interfaces, files and reports. Reviews systems under development and related documentation.

•          Is accountable that established system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.

•          Cooperates in researching and solvingquite complex resolutions for a production environment. Monitors system performance, integrity and availability. Makes recommendations and implements adjustments as designated by senior level personnel.

•          Participates in planning, scheduling and implementation of technical projects and proposes corrective action to stay on schedule. Actively participates in post-implementation reviews.

•          Develops and maintains quite complex code utilizing structured programming techniques. Programming code is searched for reuse whenever possible and it is written for efficiency. Provides good in code software documentation and participates in code walkthroughs ensuring code is efficient and reusable.

•          Operates in accordance with company security policies and guidelines, and in accordance with established quality standards and assigned schedule.

•          Applies the IT Governance processes, implements and monitors software security and quality.

•          Coordinates with virtual team members and contributes to Team’s goal by promoting a teamwork attitude. Provides less experienced associates with assistance in production problem resolutions.

•          Provides input to peers and management for recommendations and alternates solutions and/or improvements. Conveys and insures the understanding of technical strategies and vision to project participants. Conveys problems, solutions and updates on projects and their status to their peers, customers and management. Contributes information for cost justification and new purchases to management. Develops and reviews program, system, user, operations and documentation. Provides feedback on team performance against established assignment goals.

Job Requirements

•          Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline

•          5-7 years previous Software Developer experience, including Object Oriented Analysis and Design.

•          Proven knowledge of software testing on all system environments, specifically in waterfall environments.

•          Familiarity with software quality, software security, IT Governance processes and technical writing documentation is also included in the knowledge domain.

•          Candidate should be proficient in ASP.NET, C#, .NET 3.x, XML, SQL Server environments and programming languages.
