Job Description CAM Programmer Apply Unigraphics skills to create 2-6 axis CNC code for tool fabrication and production milling.Requires proficiency in CAD (Unigraphics or CATIA V5 preferred), plus basic CNCprogramming and Windows XP knowledge. Must have excellent math skills and be able to workindependently. Previous tool design and machining experience a plus. Functions and Responsibilities: •Create and edit tools and holders using tool library. •Create set-up sheets. •Post CAM programs. •Debug CNC programs and resolve problems at machining centers. •Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents. •General knowledge of machining. •Knows when to stop and ask for clarification. •Knowledge of math and precision instruments required. •Create CNC programs for 2D and 3D surfaces. •Work under limited oversight. Working Conditions Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required. Physical Requirements Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material. Job RequirementsReads and understands router operations, sketches, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function. Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Capable of creating complex solid models and 3D surfaces. Capable of designing and drafting basic tooling. Capable of analyzing models and surfaces for mismatches and fixing the errors.
