Job Description
Currently Hiring for Dispatchers at our Corporate Office in Lenexa, KS. Pay starts at $10.00/hour with rapid pay progression within 1st year of employment! (to be discussed interview) Night Shift differential! Retention bonus following 6 months of service! + other bonus opportunities! Summary of Position: Ensures the proper utilization of company assets and field personnel in meeting the requirements and requests of our customer in a safe and timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Ensures all service orders are entered and called out to the appropriate driver in a timely manner. 2) Informs customer of driver/vehicle availability information by stating estimated time of arrivals and documenting that information. 3) Ensures proper assignment of drivers and company assets for completion of customer service orders in a timely manner. 4) Ensures that drivers receive accurate service order information and provides assistance as needed. 5) Process all reminders in a timely basis to ensure compliance with company policies. 6) Closely monitors the drivers’ hours in order to comply with company hours of service policy and state regulations. 7) Communicates with all Field Management in a professional manner. 8) Contacts the appropriate railroad representative with any questions or difficulties regarding service orders. 9) Communicates any pertinent information to drivers in an accurate and timely manner. 10) Consistently informs and updates the Shift Manager and/or Shift Supervisor of board status and any difficulties that may arise. 11) Ensures that all driver information is updated in CATS, including but not limited to: current way to contact driver, drivers availability status, home phone number, and driver up from rest. 12) Coordinates van swaps as needed. 13) Ensures the highest level of customer service and confidentiality at all times. 14) All other job duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year dispatching or related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good typing and 10-key skills Customer Service Aptitude Ability to follow direction from supervisors Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to show up to work on time as scheduled Shifts: Days A: Sunday - Wednesday 4:50am - 5:00pm (with alternating Wednesdays) Nights A: Sunday - Wednesday 4:50pm - 5:00am (with alternating Wednesdays) Days B: Thursday – Saturday 4:50am – 5:00pm (with alternating Wednesdays) Nights B: Thursday – Saturday 4:50pm – 5:00am (with alternating Wednesdays)
