Job Description Birch Communications is looking to hire a Systems Administrator in Macon, GA. The Systems Administrator will manage and support the corporate Windows and Linux infrastructure, along with various network and application-based systems and structures. This is a full time, direct hire role in Macon, GA RESPONSIBILITIES: Hardware installation, setup, and troubleshooting, along with server builds, configuration, and remote management Specific services include, but may not be limited to the following: Active Directory, File and Print sharing, Application server support, Client-side OS support, Email services, Security and Spyware protection services, Virus protection, Firewall configuration, & Backup and Recovery services Support 24x7 data center environment by responding to off hour’s calls within IT SLA guidelines Resolve issues or escalate appropriately through support chain Perform system maintenance on both hardware and software; evaluate, test and integrate upgrades Document all work performed on current and new systems by describing all relevant factors Participate in meetings with customer, users and vendors to discuss options or gives status reports related to meeting required deadlines

Job RequirementsSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 3+ years administering and maintaining Linux Environment 3+ years demonstrated knowledge of VMware virtual platforms and architectures 3+ years demonstrated knowledge in administering an Exchange 2003/2007 environment, along with mailbox policy implements and email archiving best-practices 3+ years of administration experience for Windows Server 2003/2008 versions 3+ years knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory domain structures and administering users, objects, groups, roles, and permissions Understanding of common backup and restore procedures Excellent written and oral communication skills Organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment Proven ability to take a given task and work independently and as part of a team to bring the task to completion Excellent ability to troubleshoot methodologies and solve issues to meeting deadlines Confidently introduce ideas and participate in detailed technological discussions ABOUT BIRCH COMMUNICATIONS: Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Birch Communications was named as one of the top 40 fastest growing companies in Georgia.
