A privately held commercial real estate company in Fairfield County is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to be employed on a project basis as an independent consultant. This role will be primarily responsible for designing financial models to assist the management team in acquisitions, dispositions, and due diligence of commercial real estate investments. . The Financial Analyst will create and design financial models with a required need to be highly proficient in Excel. Candidates must possess solid written and verbal communications skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to work independently with attention to details.
Responsibilities: -Conduct financial analysis and due diligence related to real estate acquisitions/development opportunities. -Assist in evaluation and pricing potential acquisition/development. -Assist in researching and obtaining preliminary assumptions for valuation models. -Perform local, national real estate market analysis on wide range private entities using all accepted and relevant approaches and theory. -Performing in-depth industry, market and competitor research. - Special and ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Required Competencies: -Strong analytical and communication skills. -Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required with an ability to prepare detailed pro forma models. -The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting or project management.. -5+ years of experience in commercial real estate work, required (office, industrial, retail, apartments). -Quantitative investment analysis experience. -High sense of urgency. -Must be data oriented and have a proven ability to interpret and synthesize data. -Critical thinker, exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. -Must have great attention to detail.
