Job Description

Responsible for accurately scheduling sign language interpreting assignments.   Logs assignments into a database. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. 

Business and Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Answer the telephone, screen and route all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate staff member or resolve the caller's request.
  • Schedule service requests and maintain information in scheduling database
  • Serves as a back-up to the primary Interpreter Coordinator and other administrative areas within the company.
  • Provide assistance to customers in a manner that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction
  • The candidate needs to be able to manage repetitive/scheduled tasks yet also be flexible with adding in a variety of non-scheduled tasks as needed.
  • Needs to be comfortable and able to handle frequent interruptions.
  • Highest commitment to quality customer service with the ability to work with a team and unsupervised.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Detail oriented
    • Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently
    • Good with basic math. 
    • Professional, upbeat, friendly, energetic, and diplomatic.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and service providers
    • Takes initiative, is dependable, and takes pride in work. 
    • Ability to problem solve. 
    • Strong computer skills; Ability to learn and work with new programs. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

     

    Educational requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
