Job Description UMB Bank is seeking an Application Developer for our Corporate Headquarters located in Kansas City, MO.   POSITION SUMMARY: Application Developer will have the opportunity to develop new applications and processes from design documentation and user requests. This position will perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements; code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology and confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. In addition, this position will resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls; maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed and document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
Job RequirementsSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology 2+ years of relevant work experience as an Application Developer using Java and/or ASP.net Knowledge of system development methodology Knowledge of the fundamental principles of functional and unit testing Knowledge of relational database technologies Successful candidates must have solid customer service skills, project management skills and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.   SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Service Oriented Architecture Experience Web Services experience with SOAP/JMS or WCF in the Microsoft Stack UML experience Security experience with X.509   ABOUT UMB: Energetic.
