Job Description Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes. Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on patient s of all ages and reassessments as per policy. Assesses, implements and educates patient/families on appropriate pain management. Ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patient. Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias. Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, pain management and assessment of changes. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Functions as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers. Able to interpret data about patients age specific needs and provide care. Interacts professionally with patient and family and involves them in the formation of the plan of care. Maintains current knowledge of medication and their correct administration based on age and condition. Prepares, hangs, monitors and discontinues IV fluids and blood/blood components. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement programs, safety, environmental procedures in the E.D. Provides resource information to other staff. Understands and utilizes the appropriate chain of command for resolution of difficult issues.

Job RequirementsCurrent Mississippi Registered Nurse Licensure, current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC Certification within 1 year of employment
