Job Description

Reporting to the District Manager, the Manager-In-Training (MIT) will manage, direct and supervise the daily operations of store. The MIT will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the task completion of subordinates. He/ She will maintain a pleasant and courteous environment for customers and team members according to United Pacific goals, policies, and procedures. Employees in this classification receive direct supervision within a framework of well-defined United Pacific company policies and procedures. All MITs receive on-the-job training from the Store Manager and/or District Manager before transitioning into a Store Manager role. This position directly reports to the Store Manager.

Job Requirements
    2+ years of supervisory experience as a Senior Team Lead or Assistant Manager. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work varying shifts, including overnight shifts and holidays. Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired. Ability to communicate effectively in English, in both verbally and in written form. Full understanding of competitive relationships and market drivers as well as company merchandising practices/procedures. Physical abilities necessary: Ability to stand and/or walk for an at least 8 hours. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday. Ability to occasionally push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e., utilizing a hand-truck). Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials, and/or place or remove signage. Approximately 75% of work is performed indoors, but there will be times when working outside for a long period of time will be necessary. Capable of working in small spaces at times.
