Job Description Application Engineer
This position can be done in our RI office or remotely for home office :

Provide technical support specific to magnetic sensing and switching to the sales channel, customers, Business Development and Sales Management. Takes input from Business Development and Sales while working with Product Management in identifying and creating tools essential in the facilitation of design-ins (app notes, evaluation boards, etc.). Participates in the generation of new product concepts providing application and competitive insight to Product Management. Performs and presents periodic competitive analysis to Product Management and Engineering.

Work with and assist our Sales and Business Development personnel creating and providing technical solutions to customers aimed at accelerating the understanding, adoption and design in of our Magnetic Sensor and Switch Products which essentially serve all markets.

Product Demo’s aimed at highlighting and aligning product features to application requirements One Pager ‘general’ reference notes

Two or more page application notes

Competitive analysis and presentation, both product and technology, illustrating benefits of our product and technology over alternatives.

Work directly with our channel partners and/or customers supporting technical questions and resolving application/product issues all targeted to secure the design in.

Provide new product input to the engineering organization based on future requirements associated with targeted applications

Work with Product Engineering on the capable and requirements of the current products essential in further penetrating new application, new markets and new customers.

Job Requirements

Five (5) years minimum of magnetic sensor product and technology background preferably

working in the Anisotropic Magneto-Resistance (AMR), Giant Magneto-Resistance (GMR) and/or Magnetic Tunneling Junction (MTJ) magnetic thin film sensors and/or Hall Effect. Three (3) to Five (5) years experience designing electrical circuits with some level of micro/embedded programming preferred.

Fluent in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, Adobe Illustrator and CAD to generate technical documents and publication graphics.

BSEE/BSME preferred. 3 - 5 years electronic components experience. Travel Required -15-25%

Fluent in English language, both oral and written and confident making technical presentations
