Job Description Territory Manager - Sales


A Territory Manager is a steward and front line contact to our customers; a Territory Manager will work with our clientele to secure orders and maintain positive/profitable relations. Evaluating the territory and perspective new clientele and developing a plan with our internal team will lead to successful conversions which is the goal in broadening our customer base.

Duties to include (not limited to):

  • Retention and Developing Account List:
  • Take direction from your Regional Manager; communicating via e-mail with Regional Manager & CSR group when needed beyond CRM documentation
  • Manage your account list including determining what accounts you will see at what frequency
  • Assist your Regional Mangers in putting together different programs for your customers where needed
  • Follow Pre-approval procedure for Co-op for your customers where needed
  • Customers, Contractors, Architects and Buying influencers will be the focus of customer calls, presentations and educational meetings
  • Work one on one with field installers regarding WSC Value Added products
  • WSC expert for job site startups for installations as well as resolving product issues
  • Attend customer functions such as contractor events, shows and Parade homes
  • Attend sales meetings as scheduled by RM
  • Travel with regional manager and vendors
  • Assist the warranty department as requested
  • CRM Documentation:
  • Utilize CRM tools to communicate with WSC who, what, where and why information regarding your customers
  • Identify opportunities where we can make conversions and take orders
  • Launch products and complete Tasks as outlined in the program
  • Manage your Opportunities in CRM and communicate their progress with your Regional Manager
  • Complete this information after each sales call on a daily basis

  • A WSC TM will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

  • Utilize electronic expense report tools daily
  • Keep company vehicle clean, organized and prepared to perform your responsibilities
  • Proficient presentation, verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet communicated sales goals
  • Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outline in the employee handbook
  • General working knowledge of residential construction
  • Strong people skills needed in order to developing and sustaining relationships that would result in advanced sales of our key products

    Education / Experience:

    • High School Diploma, College Degree and/or 3-5 years of related sales experience
    • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge base, any sale reporting software knowledge is a plus
    • Highly developed planning and organizational abilities

    Working Demands / Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for long periods of time because of travel aspect of position
    • Must possess a MVR that qualifies per the auto insurance requirements
    • Flexibility relative to hours as travel is M-F weekly with some overnights
