Renewable Energy & Sustainable Engineering - Nicaragua This is not a paid postion About Us: This project will afford you the opportunity to gain experience in implementing and maintaining appropriate energy technologies in rural communities, building and maintaining solar panels. You will be helping improve the local environment and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This project invites students, qualified engineers and scientists to collaborate, research, develop and apply renewable energy technologies in northern Nicaragua. You will work with a dynamic NGO whose principal activities are:
To conduct practical research into appropriate energy technologies
To support community self-determination and local responsibility for the projects
To increase the technical skill level and employability of local people
To improve health and living standards of families and communities
To preserve natural resources.
Job Requirements
Renewable Energy & Sustainable Engineering - Nicaragua Requirements - Renewable Energy & Sustainable Engineering - Nicaragua:
Min age 18
Minimum 2 months commitment - 30+ hours a week
Enthusiasm and interest to work in renewable energy and community development. Those with prior experience are especially encouraged to apply
Intermediate to Advanced Spanish skills (Lessons available)
Full travel & medical insurance
