Intensive Care Unit Nurse – ICU RN

St. David’s Medical Center has an immediate need for a full-time night shift Intensive Care Unit Nurse in Austin, TX!  The ICU RN is responsible for directing and delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients on an assigned unit in a safe and proficient manner according to individual patient needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses
  • Involved in direct and indirect patient care
  • Provides direction to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and other non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
  • Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital
  • Follows the philosophy, policies, and goals of the facility and department
    • Job Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain) required
    • BSN preferred
    • 1-2 years recent critical care or ICU experience required
