Options Behavioral Health System provides inpatient psychiatric services to the Adult and Child/Adolescent population as well as services for Intellectually Disabled youth. We are actively seeking a Director of Business Development .
The primary role of the Director of Business Development is census development for the both of our programs. The employee will manage every stage of the contact, proposal, and placement process and help develop marketing support to drive placement opportunities. This employee will maximize the business impact of relationships with referral and placement agencies. This employee will implement strategies which will shape future business opportunities for placement. This employee will also educate and coach the marketing team in their prospecting, presentations, and placement opportunities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
¨ Monitor new business opportunities.
¨ Prepare report and analysis to track marketplace and industry trends.
¨ Research relevant issues, solicit input from appropriate sources, conduct strategic analyses, and propose and implement solutions and initiatives which will achieve identified objectives and goals.
¨ Monitor and give recommendations for the facility’s – Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT).
¨ Develop and maintain professional contacts and affiliations with referral sources.
¨ Manage the proposal development process, including coordination and oversight.
¨ Providing active support in the development of marketing programs.
¨ Providing input into a variety of communication programs.
¨ Creating specialized literature, brochures, and presentations to support marketing efforts.
High degree of personal integrity and strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively.
Proven experience in providing strategic guidance and operational oversight in business development.
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field. Master's preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience required.
Must have the ability to travel in order to market other referral areas.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Must possess valid Indiana driver’s license and auto insurance.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to establish strategic partnerships in a saturated market.
Strong ability to prioritize key initiatives, develop business cases for budgets and resource investments and align multiple operating units toward common business development goals.
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations which affect the business.
Knowledge of economic, political, social, geographic, and cultural factors which affect the potential marketing.
Knowledge of state funding streams with regards to mental health services.
Strong relationship management, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Ability to organize, manage and present presentations and campaigns.
Knowledge of internal operating structure.
A sense of urgency to seek out and communicate growth opportunities that are cost effective to the organization.
Understanding of the financial impact of various programs and the cost structure for those programs.
Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and the Internet.
