Job Description This position is for a Senior Instructional Designer supporting the Optum Payment Integrity business unit within OptumInsight's Payer Operations. Chief responsibilities of this position will be to design and develop large scale, engaging learning events that support the UPI Business Units. The person may also perform some delivery of training when the broader team is short resources as well as serve as a mentor to less experienced Instructional Designers. The candidate will work closely with the Fraud, Waste and Abuse Operational Teams to identify training opportunities and implement strategies to conduct that training and make staff more efficient. Additionally, they will network across other areas of Payment Integrity Training to broaden their knowledge base and expand the training offering. Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them Perform large scale needs and audience analyses with segment teams supported Leads large scale design projects, proactively communicating with Project Managers on overarching learning initiatives Evaluates and implements the strategy for design projects Develops content outlines and writes instructional objectives and materials including user guides and facilitator presentations Designs and develops quizzes, proficiency testing, and other activities for trainees to ensure transfer of learning Conducts "Train the Trainer" classes on new content when necessary Works within LMS to administer courses and employee reports, including those for clients and compliance Provide explanations and information to others on issues within their expertise Motivates and inspires other team members Works independently with no supervision Proficiency in Captivate, Articulate, PhotoShop, Visio, SnagIt, or other similar tools This position is a telecommute opportunity.
