Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The position exists to locate, qualify, nurture, close, and retain customers and contacts within specified region industry or market.

ESSENTIAL/MAJOR ELEMENTS OF POSITION

 

•  Travels and visits customers in order to facilitate building strong relationships with OEM customers.

•  Locates, qualifies, nurtures, closes, and retains customers and contacts within specified region, industry or market.

•  Coordinates customer project activities with Engineering, Production, Quality and Inside Technical Sales as necessary - in conjunction with both the Regional/Zone Managers and the Global Market Managers.

•  Develops and proposes sales and marketing plans to support business development within the framework of the BSE Strategic Plan and to meet customer needs.

•  Achieves territory objectives for sales quota, revenue growth, new business, spending budgets and other objectives as determined by sales management.

•  Occasionally, the incumbent will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous, and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Necessary to Successfully Perform this Position:

 

•          Excellent selling, listening and presentation skills

•          Technical aptitude

•          Excellent relationship building

•          CRM software experience

•          Ability to work remotely in a home office environment

•          Ability to identify the actual decision maker and bypass the gatekeeper

•          Ability to identify, develop and obtain business from new accounts

•          Microsoft Office Suite experience

•          Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

•          Maintain a reliable and insured vehicle

Education Level Desired:

 

•          Engineering degree, BSME preferred, may consider technical experience in lieu of degree

 Prior Experience Desired:

 

•          10+ years direct outside senior level sales experience, developing the applicable territory

•          Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity in the business environment

•          Formal professional sales training preferred

•          Business to OEM business (B2B) experience preferred
